Mystic created the content for the projection onto the building.
Facade mapping is work tailored to specific architecture: the content is drawn to the geometry of the building so that the projection lines up with the columns, windows and planes and does not drift. Gostiny Dvor, with its long historical facade, sets its own constraints, and the image is built to them. It is precisely the exact fit to the architecture that distinguishes mapping from ordinary video on a wall.
The studio was responsible for the CG content and the technical implementation – for the image itself and for making it sit precisely on the facade. A projection onto a building of this scale in the centre of Moscow works as an urban event: it is seen not only by exhibition guests but by any passer-by near Gostiny Dvor. Mapping turns a static facade into a moving part of the forum programme.
