The object responds to sound: mirror volumes, programmable RGB lighting and a sound score work as a single system, where the light follows the music rather than simply blinking to the beat.

The installation was created by the ISKRA team together with the “Multimedia Design” student course at the British Higher School of Art and Design under the direction of Maxim Chepukhalin. The project was supported by Chernogolovka, BHSAD and Mystic. The studio handled the engineering side – turnkey design, fabrication and installation of the light-and-sound object. This is the path from drawing to assembled structure: design the object, build it and install it so that the lighting and sound work as intended.

The mirror volumes complicate the picture: the lighting reflects and multiplies, while the sound score sets the rhythm of the whole scene. Showing it at an electronic music festival is the natural environment for such an object: it responds to sound, and electronic music is exactly what plays around it. For the studio this is both a production task and an educational one – a course where students carry an idea through to a finished installation alongside a practising team.
